How to Connect Binance, Bybit or BingX
4 min read
Aires trades directly inside your own exchange account through an API key — it never takes custody of your funds. The single most important rule across every exchange: never enable withdrawal permission on the API key you create for Aires.
Before You Start
- You'll need an existing, verified account on Binance, Bybit, or BingX.
- Futures/derivatives trading should be enabled on that exchange account, since Aires bots trade futures.
- Have some capital already available on the exchange (in USDT) to trade with.
1. Generate an API Key on Your Exchange
The general steps are similar across all three exchanges, though menu names differ slightly:
- Log in to your exchange account on its website (not the mobile app, for the clearest settings access).
- Go to your account settings and find "API Management" (Binance and Bybit) or "API" under account settings (BingX).
- Create a new API key. Give it a label like "Aires Bot" so you can identify it later.
- When prompted for permissions, enable Read Info and Enable Trading / Futures Trading only. Leave Withdrawals disabled.
- If the exchange offers IP whitelisting, add it for extra security — Aires's connection instructions in your dashboard will show the IP to whitelist, if applicable.
- Complete any 2FA confirmation the exchange requires to finish creating the key.
You'll be shown an API Key and a Secret Key. Copy both immediately — most exchanges only show the Secret Key once.
2. Add the Exchange to Your Aires Account
- Log in to your Aires dashboard and go to Settings → Connect Exchange.
- Choose the exchange you're connecting (Binance, Bybit, or BingX).
- Paste in the API Key and Secret Key you just generated.
- Save the connection. Aires will verify the key and confirm the connection status.
3. Confirm It's Working
Once connected, your dashboard should show the exchange as "Connected" and begin reflecting your wallet balance. If it shows an error, double-check that trading/futures permission was enabled on the key and that you copied both the API Key and Secret Key correctly — a single mismatched character will cause the connection to fail.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Enabling withdrawal permission on the API key — never do this.
- Copying the Secret Key with an extra space or missing character.
- Forgetting to enable futures trading permission on the key.
- Using an exchange sub-account that doesn't have capital or futures trading enabled.
